The teacher's page at intellect.kpi.uaGorbachuk Volodymyr Myroslavovich is working at the Mathematical Physics Department of National Technical University of Ukraine "Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Politechnic Institute" from 1987, associate professor from 1993, acting head since 2017.
In 1984, he graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics and Mechanics, Kyiv Taras Shevchenko State University.
V.M. Gorbachuk defended his Candidate/ PhD thesis "The behavior at infinity of solutions of evolution equations" (1988) and his Doctor of Science thesis "The properties of solutions of differention equations in a Banach space on an infinite interval" (2018), both in Mathematical Analysis specialization and both at the Institute of Mathematics, NAS of Ukraine.
For a namber years V.M. Gorbachuk lectures at the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics courses of linear algebra, finit-dimensional linear analysis, semigroups of linear operators, and also the course of higher mathematics at the Engineering-Physical Faculty.
The principal directions of V.M. Gorbachuk's scientific work include the theory of operator-differential equations in a Banach and Hilbert spaces, the study of behavior of solutions to such equations, finding the uniqueness cinditions for them, the investigation of their smoothness.
V.M. Gorbachuk is an auther of more than 70 research papers, mostly in well-known mathematical journals. He participated in a lot of prestigious international conferences delivering talks there.
